Prayer

Lord, another American hero has stepped willingly away from his home and into harm's way that he may protect and serve the nation he loves...we ask that you guard him with special care, Lord, and strengthen him in all ways. Fill his heart with an ever-present knowledge of the love and gratitude his family and friends feel for him. Let his eyes be quick, his body strong and his mind sharp; let his leaders be wise and let his comrades be as brave as he himself is. We ask that you bring him home soon and safe, and that you bring all of America's heroes home soon and safe...let these wars be ended and let Your glorious peace spread throughout the world. We thank You for all the heroes who have stood for our country, and ask You to send special comfort to the families of those who have fallen.
