Ok being a mom of an ADHD kid is never easy, hell just being a mom is never easy. We decided to simplfy her room and make it fun but simple and easy. It has been described (ADHD) as an empty room you empty out a toy box in, cluttered and messy. Thats how its like in the mind of an ADHD kid, so why make her room that way? So we decided to get rid of unnessary furniture and toys and paint. Well I decided to paint her hole room....but oh no Miss Prissy wants her pink room but with Lime Green and Purple "Bubbles" all over it. OMG it sounds simple enough but I have only two walls done and worked alot this weekend. Her room is comming together and her behavior is better and mornings are easir.
I got accused this weekend of being "worrying" too much about my kid. Ok well lets start off by saying I am a mom, this comment came from a old man. Who started off by saying "back in my day kids survied all kinds of stuff", ya I get that but my kid spent the first three years of her life in the docs office, er and pharmacy. She hasnt been sick for almost two years (knock on wood), except for the flu from eariler this year. I try to keep it that way, yes I worry about her Education thats why she goes to Poetry Christian and yes I get her the flu and pheunomia shot every year BECAUSE I dont want her to get it...duh. IDK it just didnt sit right with me and kinda pissed me off. Who the hell cares about how and what I worry about and I do not think I am one of those Obsesive Compulsive Stepford Moms. He should be worrying about the moms who dont care.
